You don’t want to miss out on another fantastic Backyard Smash event!

The This is ME® Backyard Smash is BACK FOR 2022! You asked, and we’ve answered with another takeover of Seddon Park right before the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup!

Supported by Northern Districts Cricket, H3 Group and Sport Waikato, the Backyard Smash is a fun and inclusive event for women and girls (13yrs +) based on a backyard cricket style-game with all proceeds going to support the great work done by True Colours. All equipment will be supplied, just bring appropriate sports attire and shoes.

As always, this event is all about having a go in a welcoming and inclusive environment, full of fun and laughter. So, get a group of female friends, colleagues, teammates, or family members together and try your hand at a bit of backyard cricket, all for a great local cause! Make sure you also round up the support crew (kids included) to cheer you and your team on during the evening – the louder the better!

To register your team, please email info@thisisme.org.nz by 5pm Friday 11th February 2022. Regular updates in the lead up to the event will be posted on our Facebook event.

*** A few adjustments have been made to make sure that this event remains safe for all involved and adheres to the red light guidelines. Vaccine passes are required for entry and there is now a limit in place for the number of teams who can participate so if you want a space we highly recommend getting your entries in asap!***
