Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival - Conversations with Dead Relatives

Stories. We all have them. You know the ones. Epic and incredible family stories. Stories passed down through generations about warriors, princesses, ratbags, preachers and visionaries. Stories that tell us where we came from and who we are. Maybe.

And like all good stories there are clashes of ideals, epic adventures and romantic tales of love and hope.

These are the stories of our ancestors.

The makers of highly acclaimed sell-out seasons of Drowning in Veronica Lake and Miss Jean Batten bring you a thought-provoking, possibly exaggerated, sometimes ridiculous but definitely more personal play – straight from our ancestors’ mouths.

” …A sweet delight awaits theatre goers who grab the chance to see Conversations with Dead Relatives… It’s funny, moving, evocative and thought-provoking… not to be missed… “ – Liz Gunn, 13TH Floor

” …Truthful, honest and very real, Conversations draws you into Phil and Alex’s world of family and lineage and leaves us pondering our own stories that we might tell and leave behind… “ – Cynthia Lam, TheatreScenes
